Today’s best Prime Day phone deals – US

Regular phone deals (US)

Samsung Galaxy S24 (128GB):was $799.99 now$719.99 at AmazonFor $719 at Amazon right now, you’ll get the standard Galaxy S24 with a custom Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, a vibrant 6.2-inch display, three capable rear cameras, and seven – yes, seven – years of software and security updates. That commitment matches Google’s promise towards its newest Pixel phones, so you needn’t worry about replacing the Galaxy S24 soon after purchasing.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus (256GB):was $999.99 now$849.99 at AmazonLike the Galaxy S24, the larger Galaxy S24 Plus is also on sale at Amazon right now, and the discount offered on this phone ($150) is decent. In ourGalaxy S24 Plus review, we described Samsung’s latest middle child as “comparable” to the super-premium Galaxy S24 Ultra, and you should only really go for the more expensive of the two phones if you’re a mobile photography fanatic.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra (256GB):wase$1,299.99 now$1,029.99 at AmazonWith its 6.8-inch OLED display, lightning-fast Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, and a class-leading suite of cameras, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is a formidable pocket companion. For Prime Day, Amazon has discounted various storage variants of the phone to their lowest-ever prices, so if you’ve ever been tempted to splash the cash on this beast of a handset, now is the time to do so.

Apple iPhone 15 Pro:device plus unlimited plan for $65/mo at Boost InfiniteAmazon partnerBoost Infinite has been offering an exceptional all-inclusive deal on the iPhone 15 Pro since its launch: you can currently get the device alongside an unlimited data plan for just $65. This particular offer was $5/mo cheaper back in September, but we’re still recommending it now because, even at this slightly higher price, it’s cheaper than some standalone plans at certain carriers. Another added bonus is that Boost will allow you to upgrade to the next iPhone for free once it launches, which we expect to be around September.

Samsung Galaxy A35 5G (128GB):was $399.99 now$330.99 at AmazonEven at full price, the Galaxy A35 5G exceeds its price tag with a great-looking display, impressive gaming performance, and highly customizable software. Now, at $330.99, it’s an even more enticing proposition, though mid-range mobile buyers will have to make do with middling camera performance and sluggish charging.

Google Pixel 8 Pro (512GB):was $1,179 now$929 at AmazonThe 512GB (i.e. largest) version Google’sbest Pixel phoneis currently on sale for a record-low price of $929 this Prime Day. In addition to its great cameras and AI features, this particular Pixel model will be supported for at least six more years, which is longer than (or just as long as) any other phone on the market right now. Do bear in mind, though, that theGoogle Pixel 9series is due to launch in August.

OnePlus 12 (512GB):was $899.99 now$799.99 at AmazonWe described theOnePlus 12as “the coolest phone you can buy, if you dare” in ourOnePlus 12 review, and at $799.99 for the 512GB model, it’s never been more appealing. The OnePlus 12 delivers better battery life, faster charging and a brighter screen than almost every other phone in its price range, and in emerald green, it looks the part, too.

OnePlus 12R (256GB):was $599.99 now$449.99 at AmazonAs we noted in ourOnePlus 12R review, theOnePlus 12Ris basically a OnePlus 11 with a better display, a bigger battery, a simpler camera and a lower starting price. This 2024 handset is now an even more attractive proposition thanks to Amazon’s $150 Prime Day discount, which brings its price down to a new record-low, so now is the time to buy the OnePlus 12R if you’ve been considering it.

Google Pixel 7a:was $499 now$299 on AmazonWhen we first reviewed thePixel 7a, we liked its power credentials and camera performance, but suggested waiting for a price drop. Well, here’s that price drop, which makes the Pixel 7a an even better buy if you want Google’s slick Tensor G2 chipset and all the exclusive features it brings at the lowest possible price.

Foldable phone deals (US)

OnePlus Open:was $1,699.99 now$1,399.99 at AmazonIf you’re in the market for a tablet-style foldable in 2024, look no further than the excellentOnePlus Open, which tops our list of thebest foldable phonesand is currently available for a record-low $1,399.99 at Amazon. This Galaxy Z Fold 6 rival boasts an impressive design and market-leading cameras, and while theOnePlus Open 2looks likely to launch towards the end of this year, we don’t think you’ll find a better price for the original OnePlus Open between now and October.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 (256GB):was $1,749.99 now$1,358.27 at AmazonWhile we noted some minor disappointments with the Galaxy Z Fold 5 in ourreview, we still gave it an almost perfect score. It’s lighter, thinner and better at folding than the Flip 4, and it also boasts incredibly snappy performance. The camera doesn’t mark a significant upgrade over its predecessor, but the rear array is still, on the whole, mightily impressive. If you’ve been eyeing up a cool foldable phone, or just want one ofthe best phoneson the market, then this Galaxy Z Fold 5 deal is hard to ignore.

Motorola Razr (2023):was $699.99 now$399.99 at AmazonRight now, you can pick up theMotorola Razr (2023)for just $322.99 in the US. This is one of the best deals we’ve ever seen on a foldable phone, and although the bigger cover display on the Plus version makes that phone, in our opinion, a more worthwhile upgrade, the regular Razr is still stylish and compact, and one of the coolest phones you can buy in 2024.

Motorola Razr Plus (2023):was $999.99 now$599.99 at AmazonIf you’d prefer a flip phone with a larger external display, Amazon has also discounted the excellentMotorola Razr Plus (2023), which is also called the Razr 40 Ultra in some regions, to just $599.99 for Prime Day. This is one of thebest foldable phoneswe’ve ever tested, and if you’re deciding between this device and the Galaxy Z Flip 5, check our ourSamsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 vs Motorola Razr 40 Ultracomparison.

Motorola Razr Plus (2024):was $999.99 now$899.99 at AmazonAmazon is also offering a welcome pre-order bonus on the soon-to-be-releasedMotorola Razr Plus (2024). You can bag $150 off this upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 6 rival – which boasts a huge display, amazing software and some downright exceptional color options – by adding it to your basket ahead of the phone’s July 24 release.

This limited-time pre-order offer is available on all color options, and is rivaled only byTechRadar’s exclusive Galaxy Z Fold 6 deal. Today’s best Prime Day phone deals – UK

Regular phone deals (UK)

Google Pixel 8 Pro (128GB):was £999 now£634 at AmazonGoogle’sbest Pixel phoneis currently on sale for a low-price of £634. In addition to its great cameras and AI features, this particular Pixel model will be supported for at least six more years, which is longer than (or just as long as) any other phone on the market right now. Do bear in mind, though, that theGoogle Pixel 9series is due to launch in August.

Google Pixel 8 (128GB):was £699 now£474 at AmazonLike the Pixel 8 Pro, the standard Pixel 8 is also on sale for a record-low price at Amazon right now. While it lacks a few of its premium sibling’s high-end features, the Pixel 8 nonetheless boasts a refreshed design, Google’s latest Tensor G3 chipset, and a number of neat AI features. For £474, it’s a steal, though note that theGoogle Pixel 9is due to release in August.

OnePlus 12 (512GB):was £999 now£854 at AmazonWe described theOnePlus 12as “the coolest phone you can buy, if you dare” in ourOnePlus 12 review, and at £854 for the 512GB model, it’s never been more appealing. The OnePlus 12 delivers better battery life, faster charging and a brighter screen than almost every other phone in its price range, and in emerald green, it looks the part, too.

Apple iPhone 15 (128GB):was £799 now£699 at AmazonYou can currently get £100 off an unlocked iPhone 15 at Amazon, which is a great deal considering that this is the latest flagship device from Apple. It’s worth noting, though, that the iPhone 15 has actually been at this price for a few months now, so this isn’t exactly a ‘new’ deal. Similar Amazon deals are available on theiPhone 15 Plus,iPhone 15 ProandiPhone 15 Pro Max.

Apple iPhone 15 Pro(128GB):was £999 now£899 at AmazonAnother unlocked iPhone deal with £100 off, this time on the more powerful Pro model. This is for the 128GB option in any colorway, although the 256GB variant is also discounted at 12%, bringing its price down to £965. Unlike the standard iPhone 15, the Pro features ProMotion display technology, a customizable Action button, a more powerful chip, and a telephoto camera.

Apple iPhone 13 (128GB):was £599 now£499 at AmazonAmazon continues to discount the still-great iPhone 13 to its lowest-ever price. This 128GB model had already seen reductions following the release of the iPhone 14, so it’s an even better mid-range option now for those who don’t mind missing out on certain premium features but want the premium Apple feel.

Apple iPhone 14 (128GB):was £699 now£599 at AmazonAmazon has knocked a record-high £100 off the price of Apple’s standardiPhone 14for Prime Day, but this is only a deal worth considering if you desperately want this phone’s satellite connectivity capabilities. If you’re simply looking for a capable iPhone at a cut price, then the iPhone 13 (which is also discounted atAmazon) is pretty much the same phone as the iPhone 14, but cheaper. Their designs are identical, their cameras are (almost) identical and their chipsets are separated by just one generation – which, in Apple terms, means next to nothing. That said, Amazon’s device-only price is a good one.

Apple iPhone 14 Plus (128GB):was £799 now£569 at AmazonAmazon also has the largeriPhone 14 Plusavailable at a cut price right now. We’re less critical of this phone given its mightily impressive battery credentials and gorgeous, Pro Max-sized screen, and there’s also no iPhone 13 Plus to directly compare it to. You’ll get the Dynamic Island and a 48MP camera if you go for the more expensive iPhone 15 Plus, but if you can forgo those features, then the iPhone 14 Plus for £569 is a phenomenal Prime Day deal.

Amazon Prime Day phone deals: FAQ

Amazon Prime Day phone deals: FAQ

Do you need a Prime account for these deals?

Do you need a Prime account for these deals?

Yes – you’ll need an active Amazon Prime account to be eligible for the vast majority of deals across Prime Day, phones included. There are a few exceptions to this, but generally speaking, all the best Prime Day phone deals are exclusive to Prime members.

The good news is, if you’re not signed up to Prime, you can take advantage of the retailer’s excellent 30-day free trial. Doing so will grant you unlimited access to all of this year’s Prime Day events, any limited time bonuses that crop up, and all the usual perks like free delivery and access to various streaming platforms.

Amazon Prime: 30-day free trialIf you’ve never signed up before you can get a 30-day free trial of Amazon Prime to get access to this year’s Prime Day deals. You get the same benefits as paid members, including free delivery, and access to other services such as Prime Video, Prime Music, Prime Gaming and more. You can cancel at any time during the trial to avoid paying the regular fee, which is $14.99 / £8.99 per month.

Is Amazon Prime Day the best time to buy a phone?

Any major sale event presents a great opportunity to buy a typically expensive phone, but Amazon’s annual Prime Day deals event is particularly noteworthy given the sheer number of phones stocked by the mega-retailer.

iPhones notwithstanding (since Amazon doesn’t stock new, unlocked iPhones in the US), you’re likely to find discounts on a range of flagship devices from the likes of Samsung, Google, Motorola and OnePlus during Prime Day, and often these discounts represent record-low prices.

Prime Day typically arrives about six months after Samsung’s annual Galaxy launch, so big savings on Galaxy phones, in particular, are always worth looking out for. The biggest savings usually come to the higher-end phones, but Amazon has a decent stock of cheaper phones, too, which can be a great choice if you’re looking to pair up a budget device with acheap cell phone plan.
