Crucible currently undergoing connectivity issues at launch

What you need to know
Amazon Game Studios revealed Crucible, their third-person action shooter, earlier this month. The free-to-play title was set to launch today at 12:00 p.m. PST, but when that time arrived, players began running into various connectivity and queuing issues as they tried to get into the game. Taking to social media, Crucible’s Twitter account acknowledged the issues, and said they were investigating the issues currently.

Over on Crucible’s Discord server, an announcement from the team simply states that North American players will be able to download and play the game “soon.” It’s unknown just how severe the issues Crucible is facing are, but it wouldn’t be the first time that a big-budget game ran into issues at launch. Currently, theSteam pagefor Crucible simply lists it as “coming soon,” with no option for players to download yet.
When the game launches, players can choose from ten different characters and play through three different game modes. Each character - known as a hunter in the game - has their own unique abilities and weapons, and can be leveled up to allow players to customize how they play any given hunter. Gameplay in Crucible seems to blend battle royale and standard multiplayer, with players able to harvest experience in-game that will allow them to unlock various upgrades while they battle it out against NPCs and other players.
