So, for the purpose of accessing geo-restricted content, a Smart DNS service can be better than a VPN, but at the expense of privacy and security.

To wrap it up, it goes without saying that using proxy servers to bypass geo-restrictions is somewhat outdated.
ProxFlow might still work in some cases, but recently big names in the streaming industries have started putting more and more effort into blocking users who try to circumvent geo-restrictions.
Therefore, your safest bet in this situation is to use a VPN or a Smart DNS.
