However, you might not be ready for the major changes EA envisioned for the next NFS game. Wait, you haven’t heard? Need for Speed Unbound has already been announced.
Besides brand new adventures and characters to fall in love with, EA has also completely changed the visual style of the game, and we are about to take a closer look at it.

Need For Speed Unbound comes with a different art style
Just in case you didn’t know, Criterion Games is back in the driving seat of Need for Speed development (pun intended), following its Hot Pursuit and Most Wanted entries back in the day.
The companyunveiledits upcoming project, which is calledNeed for Speed Unbound, and represents the next installment of EA’s arcade racing franchise that’s hitting PC and current-gen platforms later this year.
This time around, as seen in the footage above, the gaming studio is going for a new graphics style when compared to other Need for Speed entries.
Actually, Criterion says it is delivering the most realistic-looking cars in Needfor Speedhistory with an added street art-inspired flair.
You are surely wondering about the new story’s location, so get ready to burn some serious rubber on the streets of Lakeshore City.
The game’s plot surrounds a priceless car that was stolen from a family auto shop, starring artist ASAP Rocky, who is also involved in the storyline, while also being featured in the original soundtrack.
What you should also know is that Criterion is promising a huge variety of car customization options that will now includeDriving Effectsalongside cosmetic items for the player character from popular fashion labels.
If you get bored with the single-player campaign, Unbound will also ship with free roam and competitive street racing for those looking for multiplayer action.
Release date-wise, Need for Speed Unbound is scheduled to come out on December 2 on PC (EA app, Steam, Epic Games Store), Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 withpre-orders available now for $69.99.
It goes without saying, but EA Play Pro members on PC will be able to dive into the game on day one for no extra cost as well.
