Key notes

Good Old Gameshas always been a trustworthy digital distribution platform, and manygamersfell in loc with their design, DRM-free policies, incredible discounts, and more.

Well, their desktop client calledGOGGalaxy has been through many changes since its inception, and their most recent iteration,GOG Galaxy 2.0, has been an immense success.

Of course, this tool is primarily a gaming library, but also a means to buy othergamesfrom their catalog, which makes it very similar to other similar tools, such as:

GOG Galaxy will soon feature EGS exclusives

GOG Galaxy will soon feature EGS exclusives

A while ago,GOGGalaxy 2.0 included the ability tobring all of your libraries into the same window, so you wouldn’t have to stay with a lot of clients opened just to see whatgamesyou own.

Well, this was takena step further today, sinceGOGrepresentatives just announced that you can useGOGGalaxy to buyEpic games-exclusive titles as well.

However, the most interesting part is that they will be applying their world-famous refund policy to these titles as well:

Most importantly, all purchases are covered by our 30-days refund policy as well as 24/7 human support.

User feedback to this news was mixed. On one hand, some are concerned that theEpic Gamestitles will not be DRM-free like the ones fromGOG‘s own catalog.

Gotta say, this feels like a step backward. I’m all for the single launcher life butGOGsells itself on being DRM free.

By adding the Epic launcher and running it in the background while playing EGS games, you’re enabling their DRM. Kinda hoping there’s something I’m missing here because otherwise this feels like the first step down the wrong path.

This in turn could hint that they may have been referring to the titles that areDRM-free there as well.

All in all, this change is great news for those that like the idea of having a unified gaming library, and more platform integrations will be expected in the future.
