Adobe Fresco was created with stylus and touch devices in mind and it first came out for the Apple iPad.

Back in November 2019, Adobe launched theappfor Microsoft Surface devices. They were technically Windows devices but now, theappis expanding to all Windows 10 devices.

To be exact, that means it’s also available for your Windows 10 laptop or PC running version 1903 or later. Your computer will also need to haveDirectX 12.1to download the Adobe app.

1. Download and install Adobe Fresco

It’s pretty easy to get the Adobe Fresco app and it starts by clicking on theVisit websitebutton below to get to the Adobe website.

By clicking next on theGet free appbutton, you will be presented with three options.

You can install the free trial app for Adobe Fresco, or you can get the Photoshop app that includes Adobe Fresco.

The third option,All apps, will give you access to the whole Creative Cloud suite that includes all the Adobe apps in free trial versions.

Adobe Fresco has a 30-day trial period so you can test its limits. The learning curve for this excellent app is pretty steep.

2. What are the requirements to install Adobe Fresco?

If you want to install Adobe Fresco on your Windows 10 PC, you will need an Adobe ID account. If you don’t have one, don’t worry because you will be prompted to create one during the installation process.

You will also need Internet connectivity because you will need to activate the software, validate any potential subscriptions, and, of course, accessing the online services.

You will also need a minimum of 3 GB of free space on your PC to install and run the application. However, Adobe recommends you to have 16GB of available storage for best performance.

3. What are some of the newest features of Adobe Fresco?

Adobe not only brought the app to your friendly PC but in 2020 they alsointroducedsome new features like a Clipping Masks tool a Brushes Management tool to name the most important.

The Clipping Masks Tool is a feature that makes it a lot easier to clip one or more layers to another layer or layer group. Here’s a clip from Adobe that shows you exactly how to use the new Clipping Mask feature.

Brushes Management feature was needed because you have a lot of brushes to choose from and this is a new way of setting up a personalized set of brushes.

Another interesting feature is the Brush Stamp Preview that helps you know exactly how much area you will be covered with the stamp.

It’s a simple indicator forPhotoshop, Pixel, and Eraser brushes that will appear when you touch the screen with a stylus or finger.
