A new trailer has been unveiled for spell-slinging first-person shooterImmortals of AveumatE3 2023, showing off slick, magical first-person action.
Immortals of Aveumhas you step into the role of an elite magical warrior as he battles his way across supernatural landscapes. In addition to your conventional shooting, the trailer shows off traversal mechanics as well as powerful beam weapons.
Boasting a unique aesthetic, featuring a mix of mechs and machinery, and more-traditional fantasy vibes, Ascendant Studios' upcoming first-person shooter looks like all the best bits ofBioshock Infiniteand cult-classicBulletstormwith a layer of arcane glamor on top. It’s a stunning trailer and a refreshing take on the genre.
Immortals of Aveumis releasing July 20 forPS5,Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and promises slick magic-shooter action that is aiming to take the best of shooters and magic, fantastical action. As a quick reminder, the game sees you play as Jak, an Immortal, who joins a group of battlemages to “save a world from the abyss”.
It looks slick as hell, and the magic on show consists of a wide range of options, attacks, and types that you can use to your advantage - and however you wish. The trailer shows multiple instances of being able to put together a range of attacks in creative and flamboyant ways with flashes of color streaking toward enemies and across the screen. There are vibes ofDoomhere too which will please some core shooter fans.
