Key notes

Kobo released their official e-Reader app in the Microsoft Store for Windows 10 users a while ago, but it had to pull it down because of some problems related to UX and performance. Now it’s back and available as a free download.

I don’t have a Kobo e-reader, but I know many who do and who also have Windows 10 on their devices, so they will be really happy to learn that the official Kobo Books ereader Windows 10 app has been made available for download.

Somewhat similar to the officialKno Textbooks app, Kobo’s ereader app lets you browse from over 3.5 million eBooks, free and paid, comics, and children’s books.

Of course, in order to use the service, you need to have an account with Kobo, but you can also sign up for a new one from inside the app itself.

With Kobo, you can read on your Windows device anywhere, anytime. Download the Kobo app and browse from over 3.5 million free and affordable eBooks, comics and children’s books.

Obviously, the app will run just as fine on your Windows 10 touch and desktop devices, and also on Windows RT.

Kobo Books for Windows 10 comes with many useful features, such as the ability to resume your reading and to have your bookmarks synchronized across all the devices where you have Kobo’s service installed.

Kobo Books will offer a ‘crisp, clear text,’ and of course, you will be able to choose the font size and style that you want. There’s also the Night Mode if you plan on doing some nighttime reading.

You can have your screen in portrait or landscape mode, so choose whatever suits you better and your reading positions. Before buying a certain book, Kobo will let you read the first chapter previews, and you will even be able to save them in your library.

The application also supports Live tiles, so by pinning it to the Start screen of your Windows devices, you can resume your reading easily. I have used the app for a few hours on my tablet, and I enjoy it.

Everything has a pristine quality and seems very fluid and robust. So, if you’re in need of a cool ereading app for your Windows 10 device, go ahead and download Kobo Books from below.
