Microsoft has debutedMinecraft Dungeons, its latest expansion of the hit block-building franchise, now exploring a dungeon-crawling experience. The action role-playing foundations follow a similar template to titles like Diablo, with a push into exploration, and ongoing grind for loot. Dungeons is already proving both accessible and challenging across launch offerings, available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

While Minecraft Dungeons launches in a relatively polished state — aided by a small delay earlier this year — the game isn’t without its problems. Like any new release, players may encounter a handful of known (and unknown) bugs and issues across all four platforms at launch. Below follows every known Minecraft Dungeons bug, error, and current launch issue.

Minecraft Dungeons bugs, issues, and glitches

With Minecraft Dungeons now available, some players may experience unexpected hiccups while trying to play. We’ve wrapped up the most common bugs and issues affecting Dungeons today.

‘Game Ownership Not Established’ error on PC

‘Game Ownership Not Established’ error on PC

Minecraft Dungeons has now launched but some players remain unable to access the game, primarily on PC. Therampant “Game Ownership Not Established” errorhas sprouted for many, seemingly caused by a licensing snafu related to Xbox Live. “Sorry, you don’t appear to own Minecraft Dungeons on this account,” the in-game notice reads. “Make sure you are signed into the correct Xbox Live account and restart the game.”

The error message has sparked warranted frustration for some players, blocking access to the game during the early hours of launch. Minecraft Dungeons developer, Mojang Studios, has acknowledged the issue with work on a fix underway.

Minecraft Dungeons cross-play not working

It’s not just you — Minecraft Dungeons cross-play doesn’t work at launch. While Mojang hascommitted to cross-play support for Dungeons,it plans to deliver the feature “in the near future,” via a free update for all platforms. Just like vanilla Minecraft, all platforms will play together at a later date.
