Poll in Microsoft Outlook

The ability to create polls within Microsoft Outlook has existed for a while now.

Thanks to its existing integration withMicrosoft Forms, you can insert a poll into an email in Outlook and distribute it to employees across your organization. But the Poll feature was only available as an add-in, previously.

Now Microsoftsaysthat Poll comes pre-built into yourOutlook mailbox. As such, the feature is ready for use without any extra configurations.

As usual, respondents can vote within the email you sent them. Or they can open the poll in a separate browser tab to participate.

Now you can create a real time poll in seconds when composing an email in Outlook. Once sent, recipients vote directly in email or click on an included link and vote in a browser window. You can then check poll results in real-time using the voting card. Poll is now pre-installed to your Outlook mailbox so you no longer need to install the add-in yourself.

Moreover, the voting card in the body of the email displays poll outcomes in real time.

The latest Microsoft Outlook update should help you get started with online surveys a bit faster.

In other relatednews, Microsoft Forms now supports thesharingof survey form design and results with specific users. The feature minimizes the risk of survey content falling in the wrong hands within your organization.
