A similar capability is coming to theOffice 365-powered Phone System feature. It will allow users of the calling function in Teams to have multiple call windows at the same time.

Multi-window experiences are coming to Teams meetings and calling. Users will have the ability to pop out meetings and calling into separate windows to help them optimize their workflow. These experiences can be turned on directly within Teams for PC and Mac clients.

Once the feature is available, you will be able to access it right away without having to update anything. Just sign in to Teams on your personal computer or Mac and you are good to go.

You should be able to explore the multi-window experiences in Teams meetings and calling sometime in June.

Last month, Microsoft starteddeliveringthe ability to pop out chat conversions into multiple windows within Teams. The update is on its way to your account if you do not have it yet. The company said it expects to have updated all users with the feature by the end of this month.

Enhancements like the upcoming update enable Microsoft Teams to pose a more serious threat to the dominance of Zoom in the area of VoIP conferencing. Overall, Teams is doing great considering that it currently has over 44 million daily users.
