While the Internet has provided the ability to reach various parts of the world, it has also opened the doors to our private lives. Most of the time, the Internet collects and stores our personal data even without our consent. Thanks to WindowsPrivacyTweaker, you can adjust yourWindows privacysettings by modifying the auto-running components and disabling certain Registry entries.

Available for users ofWindows Vistaand later, theprivacytool works to enable or disable various functions ofMicrosoft’s operating system. WindowsPrivacyTweaker has an intuitive and efficient user interface. Also, the tool does not require installation at all. Keep in mind, though, that you must first create a system restore point to back up your important files before performing the system modifications. Otherwise, the system changes might disable or remove some programs in your PC.

The tool lets you adjust settings by simply clicking the enable or disable buttons. To achieve the level ofprivacyand security you desire, simply uncheck all the unsafe red fields to the safe green fields. Although theapplicationsis compatible with Windows versions no older thanVista, it is optimized for Windows 10.

WindowsPrivacyTweaker displays three tabs upon launch that store the necessary information targeting the Windows services, scheduled OS tasks, and registry items. You can apply batch modifications to all entries in the tabs by clicking the “Uncheck all” or “Check all” buttons.

Each tab includes the default Windows components that may intrude yourprivacy. The entries includeXboxdata synchronization services, customer experience improvement program dependencies, Cortana-related settings, data collection, sensor service options, and other telemetry or biometric registry entries.

WindowsPrivacyTweaker also controls howapplicationsaccess location, camera, tools, or devices. It can also disableMicrosoftads and block Bing searches.

However, theapplicationis limited to the modification ofprivacyoptions. That means you cannot use it to root out registry exploits from third partyapplicationsor fix malware issues. If you find the tool useful, you candownload it from Phrozen Software.

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.

Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
