Windows 8.1 problems are not done with and as I research more, more woes appear on the horizon. This time, somebody is complaining that his VGA display adapter is not working after he updated to Windows 8.1.

Troubles and problems with the VGA port have been reported in Windows 8 and I’ve seen quite a lot of them, but I was hoping that Windows 8.1 would fix them. Alas, this hasn’t happened and more Display Adapter woes for those using VGA continue. Here is the input from one user who has this problem:

My Asus UL30VT with windows 8 is working properly before updating to 8.1. After update, the Display Adapter have a problem : NVidia GeForce G210M : This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31) Insufficient system resources exist to complete the API.

Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family (Microsoft Corporation – WDDM 1.1) : Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) {Unable to Load Device Driver} %hs device driver could not be loaded. Error Status was 0x%x

This seems like a case where the owner forgets to download and install the latest Intel VGA drivers for his specific laptop model. I don’t think it has anything to do with NVidia’s drivers, so my suggestion is for him to get the latest VGA drivers straight from Intel’s website.
