And those plans started with the release of theWindows10 20H2 for theInsidersin theBeta Channel, the former Slow ring.
What is new about Windows 10 20H2?
First of all, Microsoft cleared out the numerical naming scheme and decided on the year and period version.
So if this is theWindows10 20H2 build, it’s because it’s going to be released for the general public in this year’s second half.
However, in a small note, they specified that they will still use a friendly name,such as theMay 2020 Update, in communication with consumers.
As for the new features of theWindows10 20H2, Cable was pretty brief:
Windows10, version 20H2 will offer a scoped set of features to improve performance and enhance quality.
It will also be the first version ofWindows10 to include the newMicrosoft Edge, based on Chromium.
In a nutshell, that means that this is a minor release in the style resembling a cumulative upgrade rather than a major one. However, things can still change until the fall release.
It’s worth mentioning that the new build 20H2 Build 19042.330 for theinsiders, also includes fixesfrom theKB4557957update.
Windows 10 20H2 will install quicker
Anyone running the May 2020 Update and updating toWindows10, version 20H2 will have a faster installation experience because the update will install like a monthly update

However, if you own an older build, you will wait longer, just like for a major update.
The Microsoft official added that the main focus of the 20H2 feature update will be on improved performance and quality, rather than on a large number of brand-new features.
How can I install the new Windows 10 20H2 update?
Windows10 20H2 is available only forInsiderswho joined the Beta Channel and look for the update in Settings > Update & Security >WindowsUpdate.
Once youdownloadand install it, you will get regular 20H2 updates viaWindows Update.
