You probably think it will run a lot of your RAM, but don’t worry as it has a very light footprint. On the lower bar, you have the option to go to the International version or refresh the page.

What I loved about the CNN app for Windows 8 is that I didn’t see any ads at all. Not even when loading videos. However, this might be because I am located outside U.S and Canada, where most of the advertising is probably targeted.
Also, the CNN iReport in Windows 8 lets you contribute your story or even an opinion piece; you have the possibility of uploading photos and original videos straight from the app. The CNN Live Tile options lets you pin it to the start screen to follow the latest headlines.
